Ava Maria ChapelartistsconceptionJamestown (CSi) With the Ave Maria Village, Chapel, Hospice Suite, and all-weather garage, completed and in use, there is still about $259,000 to raise, and complete the Capital Campaign. The campaign passed the first goal of $1 million, several months ago, with the additional dollars needed to reach the total goal of $1,325,000.

On Friday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 Ave Maria Village’s Development Director, Jan Barnes said fundraisers have been planned to help reach the goal.

This Sunday April 27, 2014 a breakfast will be held at the Knight’s of Columbus Hall in Jamestown from 9:30-a.m., to 12-noon. A free will offering will be accepted.

“Tea Time” will be on May 6, 2014, at 2-p.m., at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Jamestown, with ticket price at $20.

A Pulled Pork BBQ will be on June 18, 2014, from 11-a.m., to 1:30-p.m. The cost is $5 per basket, and carryouts will be available by calling in advance to 701-952-5677.

Ms. Barnes added that raffle tickets are also being sold for $25 each, with the drawing on July 7, 2014, with prizes donated by local and area businesses and organizations.

She pointed out that on May 13, 2014, Bishop John Folda of the Catholic Diocese of Fargo will preside at a Dedicatory Mass and blessing of the Chapel, at 10-a.m.

That will be followed by an interdenominational servicde of dedication on May 18, 2014 at 1:30 p.m., followed that day by a community open house from 2:30-p.m., to 5-p.m., which will include tours and refreshments, with all events open to the public.
