Jimmies Play Doane, Nat’l Tourney, May 12

Jamestown (CSi)  The University of Jamestown baseball team heads to Hutchinson, Kansas on Monday, May 12, 2014  in the opening round of the NAIA baseball tournament, to take on Doane Nebraska  in the 2-3  seed matchup of the five team tournament.

The Jimmies are the Number  three seed with a record of 35-8. The Tigers have a record of 42-9.

The Mayville State Comets are in the same region which is hosted by top-seed Tabor College.

Mayville  is the Number four seed and will play a 4-5 game against Viterbo, Wisconsin on Monday.

The Jimmies game time on Monday is 4-p.m., the second game of the day.

The Comets vs. V-Hawks winner will  play Tabor later that night.

The winner of the double-elimination tournament advances to the 10-team NAIA World Series.
