Jamestown (CSi) The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new airline service from United Airlines through SkyWest Airlines is set for June 20, 2014, 11:30 a.m., at Jamestown Regional Airport.
At the Jamestown Regional Airport Authority meeting, members approved the low bid for a new T-hangar at the airport in the amount of $535,000 from Schumacher Construction of Jamestown.
The board is looking into financing options.
The finance committee, will meet with Aiport Manager Matt Leitner next month, to bring a final recommendation for financing.
The Authority has also approved engineering fees of $9,000 each to Interstate Engineering for a wetlands reduction project and to acquire a new airport rescue and firefighting truck, which will have an estimated cost of $600,000.
90 percent of the new truck’s cost will be paid for by a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.
