Valley City (CSi)  Moving the City Park Band Shell has started.  Valley City Parks and Recreation Director Tyler Jacobson says the project will take a few days to complete.  Cell phone Pixs & Video of Band Shell being moved for CSi by Mary Sheppard Ritter.

The bandshell’ s been on its current foundation since 1931

The floods of 2009 and 2011 extensively  damaged the structure.

Carrington  House Moving, Inc., is lifting and placing the structure onto it’s new foundation  just north of it present location. .

The bandshell will be repaired and repainted.

It hasn’t been determined when it will be usable for  events.

A Valley City community wide fundraiser supported  moving the bandshell.
