Reduced fee cat adoptions JRHS

Jamestown (CSi) The James River Humane Society in Jamestown is offering a discount on the adoption fee on cats this month and next month.

During the special the fee is $99.

All animals have been examined and given immunizations.

On Friday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, JRHS President Matt Opsahl added, that a fundraiser for the shelter will be an October 11, 2014 Bake Sale at the Buffalo Mall, when the mall’s Craft Fair is happening.

He also pointed out the Second Annual, Zombie Crawl fundraiser for the Shelter, and Prairie Paws Rescue will be on September 20, 2014 in Jamestown starting at 5:30-p.m., from the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jamestown.

Come in costume or buy a t-shirt.

There will be door prizes, and food.

Registration is $10 at Buffalo City Rotisserie Grille, the Knights of Columbus Hall, and LeeAnne’s Bridal in Jamestown.

Opsahl also said that the paid weekend caretaker position is still available.

The hours Saturday’s and Sunday’ are 7-a.m., to noon, with duties including care feeding, and giving meds to the animals, socialize with the animals,and cleaning.
