GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – The University of North Dakota men’s hockey team is ranked second in the first national polls of the season.
UND trails only Minnesota in both the USCHO.com poll and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls.
UND last season advanced to the NCAA Frozen Four but lost to Minnesota in the national semifinals. The team opens this season on Sunday with an exhibition home game against Manitoba.
