Jamestown (CSi) The Jimmies cruised to a 63-6 win over Mayville State, after leading 35-0 at the half, Saturday, at Taylor Stadium’s Rollie Greeno Field.
It was a win with mixed emotions, as the Jimmies played without starting safety Wes Worthen, whose mother unexpectedly passed away Friday, in Georgia.
Starting Safety Caleb Garcia said, “This was for our brother Wes and his family. We’re a family and we’re thinking of him today and what he and his family are going through.”
Jamestown put up nine TDs as the offense had 723 yards, to their credit.
On the other side of the ball, the UJ defense forced four turnovers, allowing the one touchdown.
