Jamestown (CSi) Three Jamestown Public School elementary schools have received a failing grade in a facility assessment.

The information was presented to the public at a community workshop Thursday evening.

The assessment was conducted by DLR Group, an architecture firm in Minneapolis

Gussner, Roosevelt and Washington Elementary schools were given an “F.”

The grade was based on a inspections of the buildings last summer.

The grading is based on the physical condition compared to new construction and current building codes, but doesn’t impact the quality of education.”

Jamestown  (CSi)  The Jamestown School District is asking for public  input in a discussion on education trends and school facilities in Jamestown.

Officials say the public’s  participation is  critical as the public school district seeks to share information related to the recent facility assessment and discuss future educational needs at JPS.

This community meeting will be held at the Thompson Room in the Jamestown Middle School on Thursday, November 6, 2014,  at 7:00 PM.
