Valley City vcMercyHosp(CSi)  CHI Mercy Health (Mercy Hospital) is excited to announce the upcoming 19th Annual Festival of Trees to be held on Saturday, November 29 at the Valley City Eagles Club.

On Friday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, Mercy Health (Mercy Hospital’s) Foundation Director, Stephanie Mayfield, said, that with the support of individuals and area businesses, Mercy Healthcare’s Foundation raised $12,000 at last year’s event and was able to complete the renovation of Inpatient Rooms at the Hospital! Funds raised at this year’s Festival of Trees will go towards purchasing new equipment for our Physical Therapy department. The Physical Therapy Department has identified four pieces of new equipment totaling $24,000—so the goal is being stretched for this year’s event.

The event will feature a Silent and Live Auction and offer live Musical Entertainment, Hors d’oeuvres, Quilt Raffle, and Fellowship. New this year will also be a Deluxe Trip Raffle (valued at $5000), with the winner having a choice of trips to one of three locations, New Orleans, Cancun, or Boston, with airfare for two, paid.

There will also be a Wine Pull, and a Designer Purse (to be filled with an undetermined amount of cash!) featured on the live auction. The Hospital Staff create and donate many beautiful gift baskets for the Silent Auction along with terrific donations from local businesses. The Live Auction will feature uniquely decorated live and artificial Christmas trees, wreaths, center pieces, and mantle pieces. Another new item for the Live Auction will be Stephanie preparing a New England Shrimp Boil Experience for a lucky bidder and 7 of their friends to be prepared in their home and paired with wine, appetizers, and homemade Chocolate Rum Cake for dessert.

Tickets are available at Mercy Hospital’s lobby admission desk, $20 per person, or at the door the night of the event. The doors (and silent auction) will open at 6-p.m, and at 8-p.m. the live auction starts.
