vcpsbldgValley City (CSi) Valley City Public Schools Superintendent Dean Koppelman has informed the school board that he plans to retire at the end of the 2015-2016 school year, with school board approval.

Koppelman’s three year contract expires at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.

He requested granting him a separate one year contract for the following school year.

School board president Joyce Braunagel says the board appreciates the dedication and hard work Koppelman has done over his 17 years with the school district.

She says the board will discuss the details of a new one year contract during board meetings in December.
