Fargo (CSi) Members of the Jamestown Fire Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office used the remotely operated vehicle, (ROV), to conduct an underwater search of the Sheyenne River, for a snowmobile driver who went through the Sheyenne River’s ice on December 2nd.
West Fargo authorities said 34 year Cole Schwindt, of Moorhead, drove his snowmobile into the river that evening.
JFD Training Officer Sheldon Mohr, says the ROV was used as part of the underwater search on Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday. with about about 32 hours in the water.
Mohr said the Jamestown/Stutsman County units are working with personnel from Valley Water Rescue and the West Fargo Police Department in the search.
