Carrington (CSi) — The Foster County Commission has authorized States Attorney Paul Murphy to research if the county can hold a special election to fill the County Commission seat of former commissioner, Les Greger, who vacated the seat in Decmeber.
In his resignation letter dated December 16, 2014 Greger said he was resigning “due to the present situation in Foster County.”
Appointed to fill the seat is Leo Gauderman a farmer who also raises cattle and is from the east side of Foster County.
The Foster County Commission approved offering the open county sheriff’s position to LaMoure Police Chief Alan Ian Mattice,
Mattice had served with the Jamestown Police Department before joining the LaMoure Police Department.
