Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News Oct 25, 2012) – The Jamestown City Engineer’s Office reminds residents, that it is unlawful for any person to discharge, deposit, dump, or drain…any material which may degrade stormwater quality…..into the stormwater system.

Such prohibition includes but is not limited to the disposal of …grass clippings, leaves or other vegetative materials on impervious surfaces or within storm drainage systems.

Sec. 31-4. – Depositing, draining, etc, harmful materials into stormwater system.

It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge, deposit, dump, or drain, or cause to be discharged, deposited, dumped or drained any liquid, solid or material which may degrade stormwater quality and/or is prohibited by city, state, federal regulations or policies into the stormwater system. or within storm drainage systems, natural or manmade watercourses, wetlands, or wetland buffer areas, except as may be incidental to ordinary mowing or weed control within such areas.
