Tourism continues with camping promotion

Jamestown (CSi) At their annual meeting, Jamestown Tourism Board of Directors discussed adding to the Jamestown campsites.

The Executive Committee has discussed the possibility of having tourism lead an effort to develop another campground or assist a business or concessionaire in building a new campground in the area.

Jamestown Tourism Executive Director Searle Swedlund said this winter and spring he will take a new camping informational booklet, including Jamestown Tourism’s new promotional materials to various trade shows around the country to promote Jamestown as an outdoors destination.

At the meeting the board also reviewed 2014 accomplishments and reviewed possible goals for 2015.

The board unanimously appointed its 2015 officers, who as the board’s executive committee.

Tanea Clocksene: president-elect

Beth Dewald: reappointed treasurer.

Jon Lillejord and Matthew Wood: at-large members.
