Jamestown (CSi) – $6,938,206 was raised Feb 12!

Plans are underway for Giving Hearts Day, February 12.  A limited number of non-profit organizations are selected for participation.

The Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown will be a recipient of donation as part of Giving Hearts Day on Thursday February 12.

On Monday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 ACC Associate Development and Marketing Director, Felicia Sargeant said, donations made to the Anne Carlsen Center on line www.ImpactGiveBack.org on Thursday will have a match of $4,000 by Dakota Medical Foundation, and matching dollars of $75,000 will be available in total at the ACC.

Every on line gift of $10 or more is will receive the matching dollar amount the particular non-profit raised.

In addition Cork & Barrel in Jamestown each day this week through Thursday the 12th is donating 20-percent of wine sales to the Anne Carlsen Center, through Giving Hearts Day.

She pointed out that by going on line to www.ImpactGiveBack.org on February 12th, links are available, which includes a You Tube video made by the staff of the Anne Carlsen Center.

Felicia added that credit card contributions will have the fee waived that day.

She noted that Giving Hearts Day stared in 2008, and in 2013 the Anne Carlsen Center’s donations from the event totaled $120,000.

Representatives from the organizations are working together to share the message about this giving opportunity in the community.

Giving Hearts Day activities for the community will be at the Jamestown Arts Center on February 12  from 2 pm – 6 pm.

2 pm and 5 pm Heart Healthy Cooking Demo with Brittany Johnston, Registered Dietitian at JRMC, along with sampling recipes, and give-a-ways

2:30 pm Service Dog Demo

3 pm – 4:30 pm Kids After School Arts with a Heart Theme

4:30-5 Learn Hands Only CPR with University of Jamestown Nursing Association students

Ongoing Blood Pressure Checks by University of Jamestown Nursing Students

5 pm – 7 pm Social

Dakota Medical Foundation and Impact Foundation jointly host this 24-hour online give-a-thon that has dramatically increased fundraising success by charities of North Dakota and western Minnesota.

The seventh annual Giving Hearts Day on February in 2014, continued a tradition as a record-breaking fundraising phenomenon, shattering the previous year’s donation total by 49 percent.

CHI Mercy Health Foundation has been chosen by Dakota Medical Foundation and Impact Foundation to participate in Giving Hearts Day for a 24-hour online fundraising event that will be held on February 12, 2015.
