Jamestown (CSi)  “I’ve been wanting to come to Jamestown for some time and I’ve had my eyes on the Grille.  So I had the opportunity to purchase it and took it.”  So Says Nam Sabir, as he purchases the Buffalo City Rotisserie Grille, in downtown Jamestown.

Sabir, who operates Sabir’s Dining and Lounge in Valley City, has shut down the grille for a week to ten days  and possibly reopen the first week of February.

The name will also be changed to Sabir’s.   The Jamestown City Council met in Special Session Thursday at 4-p.m., at City Hall. Council Members Buchanan, and Gumke were not present.

On the agenda was a Resolution to approve the request for Sabir’s II, LLC (Nam Sabir) to assume the CGBG $220,400 equipment loan of Buffalo City Grille, Jamestown, LLC (James and Sherry Heyer) as part of the purchase of the restaurant business located at 103 First Ave. South, subject to approval from the ND Division of Community Service.

At Thursday’s meeting South Central Dakota Regional Council Executive Director, Deb Kantrud said the Heyer’s requested the LLC designation be removed as they will no longer be operating the restaurant. Their $100,000 loan will be paid off over 10 years.
