Jamestown (CSi)  The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of awards at Thursday evening’s Annual Banquet, at the Jamestown Civic Center.

The Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award was presented to Casey Stoudt.

Tim Burchill nominated Stoudt for the award.

It outlines Stoudt’s participation on the board and as a fundraiser for the University of Jamestown, serving as treasurer for Jamestown Dollars for Scholars, serving on the board and as a fundraiser for the Jamestown Community Foundation and supporting the Jamestown Arts Center. He is also noted for originating an idea for Running of the Pink, which R.M. Stoudt still funds.

The winner of the Young Professional of the Year was Samantha Beckman in marketing  with Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

The winner of the Business of the Year was Lifestyle Appliance  and Entertainment Center.

The Above and Beyond Award for volunteerism was given to Joan Morris.

Morris is  active in the Daily Bread,  Jamestown program.

She  was a leader  in the drive to raise funds and create a fast-pitch softball diamond in the community.

Morris is also on the FACE committee the Foundation for the Advancement of Christian Education, with St. John’s Academy in Jamestown, along with promoting recycling in Jamestown.
