oversenkylie2Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Democratic Policy Committee reports Democratic Representative Kylie Oversen, of Grand Forks, was selected Saturday as North Dakota’s new Democratic chairwoman, at a Jamestown meeting.

According to the state Democratic Policy Committee, the 26 year old Oversen, will be the among the youngest state chairs of either party in the country.

She succeeds Bob Valeu, who served who served as chairman since 2013 and did not seek re-election.

Oversen says she was “incredibly honored” to lead a party that embraces young leaders and its female leaders.

Former Williston, Superintendent Warren Larson was elected vice chairman.
