lefeveremaraJamestown  (CSi)  The Miss North Dakota United States Organization is pleased to announce that on March 22nd, 2015, Mara LeFevre was awarded the title of Miss Jr. Teen North Dakota United States. Mara is in the 9th grade and attends Jamestown High School.  She is involved in golf, soccer, and band.  She is a volunteer at the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown. Her pageant platform is to, “encourage children with disabilities, to gain possibilities.”

 The Miss United States Organization can trace its roots back to 1937 when the first title of Miss United States was awarded to Miss California. Today, the Miss United States Organization (MUSO) holds pageants for four different age levels: Miss Jr. Teen, Miss Teen, Miss, and Ms.

 Mara is honored to represent teens such as herself and to visit our nation’s capital when she and the other state title holders will represent North Dakota at the MUSO national pageant in Washington D.C. in July, 2015. She will receive the opportunity to be a role model and spokesperson for girls and women across North Dakota for the coming year.
