Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Park Board, has approved trying to sell alcoholic beverages at Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course for the 2015 golf season.

The commission directed Jamestown Parks and Recreation Director, Doug Hogan, along with Business Manager Sheila Harr, and Pro Shop Manager, John Ruff, to develop terms for a contract with Andrea Huus,with Shady’s Lounge in the Gladstone Inn & Suites, to set up and run a bar and beverage carts that will supply alcoholic beverages to golfers and others of legal age at Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course.

The Park Board also approved an 18-year bond contract with Dougherty & Co. LLC of Bismarck to sell $1.835 million at a 0.9 percent interest rate to fund improvements to Hillcrest Municipal Golf Course and pay off $290,000 in bonds owed for the winter sports building that was built in 2007.

The Park Board is also considering increasing the ice rink rental rates for the 2015-16 hockey/ice skating season. The current rates are $45 an hour nonprime time and $50 an hour prime time.

The rates would increase by $15 each to $60 an hour for nonprime time and $65/hour for prime time. The regular rental rate for an hour would increase to $100 an hour.
