Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown City Planning Commission has recommended SRF Consultants develop the wording of a possible ordinance to define the types of elderly housing and recommendations for parking requirements.

The Planning Commission has also approved a final plat for the Anne Carlsen Center 2nd Subdivision, located east of Jamestown Regional Medical Center; a final plat for Schumacher Acres Addition, located south of the Jamestown Regional Airport; and Edgewood First Addition located near Schumacher Acres Addition. It also approved a zoning change from single-family homes to one- to six-family residences for the area adjacent to Edgewood.

The Planning Commission has scheduled a special meeting for 5 p.m. on May 18 in the lower-level meeting room at City Hall. The meeting will be the first that allows public comments on the draft version of the Land Use and Transportation Plan. The Jamestown City Council will also hold hearings on the LUTP at its June 1 meeting.
