ndlegchambersBISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s Legislature has passed a bill that will cut individual income taxes by 10 percent and corporate income taxes by 5 percent.

The House endorsed the Senate bill 59-32 on Friday. It now heads to Gov. Jack Dalrymple for his signature.

The legislation is expected to reduce state revenue by about $108 million over the next two years. The legislation is nearly identical to what the governor had proposed earlier.

Lawmakers began this session with several proposals to lower individual tax rates or to reduce them to zero.

Republican Rep. Jason Dockter of Bismarck says the tax cuts should save about $200 annually for a single person earning between $35,000 and $40,000 a year.

He says a middle-income family would get a tax break of about $300 annually.
