SwancarValley City (CSi) Joe and Betty Swann with their 1912 EMF stopped in Valley City, Thursday afternoon at the Barnes County Historical Society Museum. They are traveling cross country from east coast to west coast.

They were traveling the back roads and taking it slow at 35mph

Before arriving in Valley City they were in Casselton  for a time before setting out for Valley City.

The Swann’s checked out the Barnes County Historical Society Museum’s 1901 Oldsmobile, and visited with curator, Wes Anderson.

Meanwhile in Jamestown,  Thursday, David and Joanna Roberts of Northumbria, England, motored through Jamestown as part of their cross county trip, traveling in their two-seater convertible, a 1968 Triumph TR-250They are one of 39 rally teams participating in the Endurance Rally Association’s Trans America Tour.Dozens of cars and their drivers from around the world stopped in Jamestown for a brief visit Thursday at the Frontier Village as part of a Trans America tour.

The endurance rally race started June 6th in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada and will end June 28 in San Francisco.

This rally features two car classes; vintage, for vehicles made post World War I up to 1950, and classic, cars made from 1950 to 1975.
