Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a pickup – bicycle accident, Sunday about 3:40 p.m. on Highway 30, one mile south of Streeter.
55 year old Michael Dean of Gackle was riding his mountain bike southbound along the right edge of the southbound lane. 41 year old Shane Dockter, of Streeter was also southbound and approached from the rear and struck Dean with the right side of the Chevrolet pickup. Dean was wearing a helmet when he was thrown from the bike into the west ditch. Dockter slowed and stopped on the shoulder of the road.
No report of Dean’s injury, as he was taken to JRMC for treatment.
Damage was reported to the front of the bike, with minimal damage to the pickup.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol, assisted by the Stutsman County Sheroff’s Office.
