NDunivsystem1FARGO, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Board of Higher Education has approved 3 percent raises for presidents at the state’s 11 public colleges and universities.

The highest salary is for retiring University of North Dakota President Robert Kelley, who will make $371,596 in his last year. North Dakota State University President Dean Bresciani will make $354,568.

Minot State’s Steven Shirley is the third-highest paid president at $257,500, followed by Dickinson State’s D.C. Coston at $224,359; Bismarck State’s Larry Skogen and North Dakota State College of Science’s John Richman, each at $201,896; Mayville State’s Gary Hagen at $196,201; Valley City State’s Tisa Mason at $195,700; Williston’s State’s Ray Nadolny at $188,798; and Lake Region State’s Doug Darling at $173,988.

New university system chancellor Mark Hagerott will make $372,000. He takes over next week.
