BOSTON (AP) – After hearing statements from 24 survivors and relatives of victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR’ tsahr-NEYE’-ehv) has been formally sentenced to death — but not before he apologized to the victims and their loved ones. He told them, “I pray for your relief, for your healing.” Tsarnaev had listened impassively as those affected by the bombing lashed out at him for “cowardly” and “disgusting” acts, and urged him to show some remorse at long last.
