FARGO, N.D. (AP) – A Devils Lake man has been ordered to pay uncovered medical bills and reimburse a Fargo man for concert tickets for slamming the man’s head into a shelf in a bathroom at the Fargodome last year. Bradley Gardner also served a day in jail for the assault. The incident happened during a Paul McCartney concert in July 2014. The victim said he asked Gardner to be quiet during the show and Gardner later followed him into the bathroom and assaulted him.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Bismarck police have arrested a suspect in an armed robbery of a gas station. The 18-year-old was taken into custody Tuesday night on outstanding warrants. The man is accused of robbing a clerk at a Simonson Gas Station early Tuesday.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A program that aims to help North Dakota landowners and tenants resolve issues with companies over pipeline reclamation problems is handling nearly a dozen complaints. State lawmakers this year approved the program to use ombudsmen to work with landowners to resolve pipeline issues. The Bismarck Tribune reports two of the five ombudsmen contracted by the state Agriculture Department are handling 11 cases.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s taxable sales and purchases increased 2.2 percent during January, February and March when compared to the same period last year. The state Tax Department says North Dakota recorded $5.8 billion in taxable sales and purchases during the first quarter. Commissioner Ryan Rauschenberger says the more than $200 million increase came despite slumping oil prices and decreased drilling activity.

Jamestown  (CSi)  The 118th Stutsman County Fair opens Wednesday July 1, 2015 and runs through the 4th in Jamestown.

The fair opens Wednesday with the project expo, clothing review, exhibits, merchant area and home and hobby. The 4-H judging begins and market beef, sheep, goat and swine reviews will run all day with exhibits up for the rest of the fair.

Valley City Fire Chief, Gary Retterath reminds city residents about the current Ordinance concerning the sale and use of fireworks in city limits.

Retterath say the sale of fireworks starts June 27 and ends July 5, and that in Valley City the days of detonation have been reduced to 5 days, July 1 – July 5.

The hours for detonation are 8-am to 11-pm except on July 4th when detonation is allowed from 8-am to midnight.
