Carrington (CSi) Rural Glenfield resident, Josh Dreher has been appointed to the Foster County Commissioners Board.
The 33-year old will take over for Bill Bauer, who resigned last month due to health reasons.
Dreher was the only applicant, and was on the November 2014 general election ballot.
With the recent resignation of Bauer and the resignation of commissioner Leslie Gregor late last November, two spots needed to be filled. Earlier this year, Gregor was replaced by Pat Copenhaver, who was also on the November 2014 ballot.
During the Foster County Special Commission meeting, State’s Attorney Paul Murphy said that there were only two options, either accept Dreher, or reject all the applicants and start over.
Dreher said that he will continue working for Bessette Motors of Carrington while serving as a commissioner. Dreher grew up on a family farm near the Lake Jaunita area and lives with his wife and four children in rural Glenfield.
Preciously…
Carrington (CSi) The Foster County Commission will hold a special meeting on July 9th, at 9-a.m., to discuss an opening on the county commission.
Foster County Auditor Casey Cables, says recently elected chairman Bill Bauer put in his resignation on June 2nd and left at the end of the month. Bauer had served 6 months in the position before resigning due to health reasons.
