Sobriety NDHPFargo (CSi) From July 7-12,  2015, troopers in the North Dakota Highway Patrol’s southeast region conducted an alcohol saturation in Cass County, including the metro interstate areas of Fargo and West Fargo. Troopers from the southeast and northeast regions worked overtime to add extra patrols.

Troopers issued the following throughout the saturation:

  • 237 – written warnings
  • 463 – citations
  • 7 – DUI arrests
  • 16 – driving under suspension arrests
  • 27 – no liability insurance citations
  • 5 – open container citations
  • 2 – possession/consumption of alcohol by person under 21
  • 18 – drug-related arrests
  • 56 – seat belt citations
  • 17 – motor vehicle crashes investigated

The goal of the saturation was to deter and detect impaired drivers to increase safety on the roadways.
