8th Av SW closure Mon Aug 3, Applebee’s to gravel road

Jamestown  (CSi)  The Jamestown City Engineer’s Office informs motorists that beginning Monday, August 3:

• 8^th Ave SW will be closed between 26^th St SW and 37^th St for utility work.  Street is from Applebee’s to past Grizzly’s & Hampton Inn to gravel road.  

It is anticipated the work will be completed within 2 – 3 business days. The utility work and anticipated street closure schedule are contingent upon weather conditions.   Motorists and other traffic should use extreme caution when entering road construction areas. The public should consider alternate routes if possible.

Also, starting Monday, August 3:

•  The Oxbow area of the James River will be closed for approximately two – four days as needed during sewer utility repairs in the SE area.  This closure and utility work schedule is contingent upon weather conditions.
