FatalAccidentVALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) – One person died when a pickup truck towing a camper went out of control on Interstate 94 west of Valley City.

The Highway Patrol says the truck and camper rolled in the median about 11 a.m. Tuesday.  A 61-year-old woman identified as Cynthia Elhard of Gackle,  driving the pickup, died at the scene.  She lost control in the eastbound lane and rolled the pickup and camper into the median.

A 49-year-old female passenger, Shonda Henry of Streeter was treated at Mercy CHi  Hospital in Valley City and released.    The truck and camper were destroyed in the crash.

Investigating were: NDHP, Barnes County SO, Valley City PD, Valley City FD, assisting, Barnes County Ambulance.

A pickup pulling a camper when the driver lost control in the eastbound lane and rolled the pickup and camper into the median.

The rollover  remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
