Harold Spencer Johnson, 81, Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Eventide, Jamestown.

Harold was born June 25, 1934, on his parents’ farm near Nome, ND, the son of Henry and Agnes (Aas) Johnson. He grew up there, graduating from Nome High School in 1953. Later he moved to Valley City where he met and married Pearl (Bergstrand) Schmidt in 1957. They moved to Jamestown in 1962.

Harold worked in parts distribution for 44 years with local companies including Melland’s, Don Wilhelm’s and Walt Sanders. He was a member of the Eagles, F.O.E.S and Sons of Norway.

Harold enjoyed bowling, square-dancing, camping, working puzzles, collecting country & western music, spending Saturday nights at the races and playing cards.

Harold is survived by his children: LaDonna (Dale) Feist, Minneapolis, MN, Spencer (Amee) Johnson, Jamestown, ND, Grace (Dan) Augspurger, Las Vegas, NV, Danny Schmidt, Las Vegas, NV; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Kristi Weber officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at the Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: St. Petri Cemetery, Nome, ND.
