Jamestown (CSi) The Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce and US Bank will hold informational training sessions, August 27, on the upcoming credit card liability shift for businesses accepting credit cards.
On Friday’s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, the Chamber’s Executive, Becky Thatcher-Keller said, on October 1, 2015, credit card liability will shift to either the business or the financial institution. US Bank staff will provide information and review the type of equipment a business will need to adopt.
(Update: morning session canceled) Two training sessions for businesses will be at the Chamber office at the Center for Economic Development, downtown, starting at 7:30-a.m., and another at noon, last for about an hour each. There is no charge and everyone is invited to attend.
