Fire destroys building at Hutterite colony

Edgeley (CSi) No injuries were reported, Monday as fire crews fought a building fire at the Willowbank Hutterite Colony in LaMoure County.

At 8:30-a.m. the Edgeley Fire Department responded to the fire. When the 10 units arrived on scene, the entire building was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire destroyed a storage building used to house wood chips used for bedding in turkey-raising operations, however, a majority of the equipment inside was saved before the fire got out of control.

The Edgeley Fire Department received assistance from the LaMoure Fire Department in fighting the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
