Jamestown (CSi) The Two Rivers Activity Center Board of Directors and bylaws will be dissolved, becoming part of the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Commission.
The TRAC Board approved filing a notice of intent with the North Dakota Office of Attorney General to dissolve the board and its bylaws.
The TRAC Board has also approved transferring the balance of funds in its treasury, which had $4,134.13 to Jamestown Parks and Recreation Foundation. The TRAC funds will be a separate line in the budget of the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Commission, the governing body that will oversee TRAC once it is built.
The TRAC Board became an entity when it adopted its own bylaws and articles of incorporation in December 2009. Doug Hogan, Jamestown Parks and Recreation director, said TRAC later became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Board President, Rachel Liechty, says the board will continue to meet on an as-needed basis as an advisory committee of the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Commission.
Construction is expected to start on the TRAC facility in the spring. The first phase of TRAC is expected to be completed in December 2017.
