Jamestown, ND (KCSi-T.V. News) — The Jamestown City Engineer’s Office informs the public that, the Ice House Dam Gates will remain in their current position until approximately July 25th or 26th to facilitate cleanout of silt and some minor pipe reconstruction at about a dozen storm sewer outfall locations along the James River.

 If this work can be accomplished quicker than anticipated, the gates will be re-set accordingly. 

The City has now received approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to perform this work in the channel areas.

 This work is necessary to meet the conditions set forth in the City’s MS4 Permit with the ND State Department of Health as well as the obligations established by the ND State Water Commission.
