The Buckeyes received 45 of the first-place votes, while the Spartans received five. Third-ranked Mississippi was given 11 first-place votes while somebody gave No. 10 Utah the remaining first-place nod.

Rounding out the top five after the top three are TCU and Baylor.

The second five features Notre Dame, UCLA, Georgia, LSU and Utah.

Oregon is out of the poll for the first time since 2009, snapping its streak of consecutive Top 25 appearances at 98.
