Bismarck, N.D. – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is urging all motorists to travel with care today. High winds are expected across the state with gusts reaching 60 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. The heaviest gusts appear to be in central and southeast North Dakota.
During inclement weather, high profile vehicles, long-load type vehicles, and permitted overdimensional vehicles need to be aware of restriction movement laws. North Dakota law restricts movement for these vehicles when wind or other conditions may cause the vehicle or attachment to swerve, whip, sway, or fail to follow in the path of the towing vehicle.
