WHITMAN, (CSi) The Walsh County Sheriff’s Office says, there is no indication that foul play was involved in the death of a Grand Forks hunter who went missing this weekend near Whittman, North Dakota.

A body found Monday has been positively identified as 45 year old Travis Wade Vorachek, The body was found lying in cattails about a quarter mile northeast of where deputies found his ATV rolled about 10 miles northwest of Whitman.

His body was transported to the University of North Dakota Forensic Pathology Lab for an autopsy. A cause of death has not been determined, but a full report of autopsy results is expected to be released in four to six weeks.  No new information will be released until then

A three-day search ensued after Vorachek was reported missing Saturday morning. He had intended to meet his father for deer hunting but never showed up.

LANKIN, N.D. (AP) – Authorities believe they’ve found the body of a Grand Forks hunter missing in Walsh County.

Walsh County Sheriff Ron Jurgens tells WDAY-TV that a body found in cattails Monday is being sent to the University of North Dakota for an autopsy.

Forty-five-year-old Travis Vorachek was last heard from when he spoke with his wife by phone about 8 p.m. Friday. He was supposed to meet his father for deer hunting Saturday morning but didn’t show.

Authorities found his all-terrain vehicle crashed a quarter mile from his parked truck, along with his stocking cap.

More than 100 volunteers have been helping in the search, which also involved a U.S. Customs and Border Protection helicopter and a drone from the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office.
