GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – The University of North Dakota says former quarterback Kory Wahl has died.
Wahl died Monday in Bismarck at age 47. UND did not release the cause of death.
Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown says Wahl’s funeral is Saturday in Temple Baptist Church in Jamestown.
Wahl played for UND from 1989 to 1992 and lettered in his final two seasons. As a senior, he was a team co-captain and quarterbacked UND to the program’s first NCAA Division II postseason appearance in 13 years.
Wahl was a graduate of Jamestown high school.
The Jamestown native was one of five quarterbacks named to UND’s All-Century Football Team.
