Jamestown (CSi) On Sunday Victory Lutheran Church in Jamestown dished up

nearly 500 meals at the church’s Community Christmas Dinner.

The meal was free of charge, as those in attendance feasted on turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, corn, green bean casserole and homemade desserts.

The meal’s coordinator, Kris Meidinger, says the volunteers served about 300 dinners and delivered another 171 to people in their homes, more than usual.

Meidinger says just some small problems, with roasters popping a couple of breakers.

Pastor Shawn Bowman adds, the church couldn’t put on this dinner every year if it weren’t for the hard work of the congregation.
