Alice Triepke, 91, of Adrian, ND, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 29, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Valley City, ND.

Alice was born on June 25, 1924, in Marion, ND, the daughter of Emil and Tina (Bruse) Bassen. She learned to sew at an early age and received her education at the Marion school. Alice was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Marion. She married William Triepke on April 14, 1941 in LaMoure, ND. They settled on a farm near Leal, ND. Bill worked for several area farmers including Mike Van Oasting and Clayton Waldie before purchasing his own farm in 1946. They later purchased the Taylor farm near Dickey in 1968 which they farmed until he retired. Bill died on March 20, 2005. Alice resided at Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley in recent years.

Alice was a seamstress, served as a 4-H leader, and held offices in the Valley Boosters Homemakers club and the Dickey School PTA. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian where she was a member of the Ladies Aid.

Alice is survived by her daughter, Marie Goehring and granddaughter, Sandra (Carter) Podoll and great grandchildren, Aaron & MaKayla; grandson, Steven Goehring; granddaughter, Susan (Robert) Wentz and great grandchildren, Kelsey, Samantha, Cody, Matthew and Kylee, Logan, Jaina, Preslei; granddaughter, Sara (Elvis) Miller; grandson, Stuart (Pamela) Triepke and great grandchildren, Catherine, Thomas, Frances; granddaughter, Sharon (Cory) Wetzstein and great grandson, Bryan; son, William Triepke, Jr. (Denise) and grandson, David and great grandchildren, Reily, Logan, Cooper John; granddaughter, Sheila (Lonnie) Otto and great granddaughter, Danielle and great granddaughter, Ashely and great great granddaughters, Keaira, and great granddaughter, Krystyna Otto and great great grandchildren, Jason & Aiden; granddaughter, Paula (Shannon) Brown and great grandchildren, Alexa, Brooklyn, Brayden, Kaitlyn, and grandson, Michael (Consueala) Triepke and great grandson, Garrett; son, Wayne (Lois) Triepke and grandson, Waylon (Ann) Marie and great granddaughter, Zoe Blue; grand son-in-law, Martin (Julie) and their children, Olivia and Kyle; step grandchildren, Dean, Kimberly, Beverly (Lance) and J.D. (Kristina); step-great-grandchildren, Janessa, Kohl, Chanse, Gauge, Felicia, Alex, Kionah, and Kaitlyn; step great-great grandchildren, Layla; and brother, Leonard (Carol) Bassen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Robert, Carlyle, and Stanley.

Funeral Service: 1:30p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Adrian, ND, with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Vigil: 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Interment: Nortonville Cemetery, Nortonville, ND.
