Macy’s has announced recalls of two Martha Stewart brand frying pans after reports of injuries.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Tuesday that there were seven reports of metal discs flying off the 8-inch and 10-inch frying pans sold as part of a Martha Stewart Collection 10-piece stainless steel cookware set. Three reports of injuries said the small discs that cover the rivets attaching the pan to the handle caused bruises, burns and welts.
The more than 120,000 recalled sets were sold at Macy’s for $170 and at military bases for $90 for four years until September.
The affected products have UPC codes of 733003518899, 0733003623326, 0766370840959, and 0766370980334, with the following date codes:

Customers are instructed to immediately stop using the pans and return them to Macy’s for a store credit or to military bases that sold them for a full refund.
According to the AP, the Martha Stewart brand, started by the lifestyle guru, was bought by Sequential Brands Group Inc. earlier this month. The recalled pans were made in China and imported by Macy’s Merchandising Group of New York.
Macy’s can be contacted about the recall Sunday through Saturday at 1-888-257-5949 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, or online at macys.com by clicking on “Product Recalls.” Incidents or injuries can be reported here.
