flooddiversionBISMARCK, N.D. (AP) Mar 3, 2016- The National Weather Service says the risk of noticeable flooding across North Dakota continues to drop.

The outlook for the Missouri and James river basins says there is “little risk of widespread high water due to melting snow,” though spring rains could produce localized flooding.

An updated report shows that the threat of significant and impactful snowmelt flooding is “very low” and any risk of high water would be the result of rainfall. Forecasters are calling for near-normal precipitation through May.
