Update…Slippery driving conditions, accidents Fri. am

Jamestown (CSi) A car-tractor accident Friday morning resulted in injuries.

Jamestown Police report, 24 year old Celestina Upton, of Jamestown, was driving a 2004 Buick Century car south on 5th Avenue Northeast, approaching the intersection with 8th Street Northeast.

52 year old Steven Koehn, Jamestown, was at a stop sign on 8th Street Northeast in a 1990 payloader tractor with a plow.

The report says, Upton slowed the car as she approached the intersection. The car began to slide and struck the payloader tractor and plow.

Upton and Koehn were wearing seat belts. Upton has a knee injury,but declined medical treatment, police said.

Upton was cited for driving with excessive speed.

Jamestown (CSi) Authoriities are advising motorist of very slippery driving conditions Friday morning with a few accidents reported.

Slow down, and allow extra time to travel, in town, rural areas, and on highways.

And, DO NOT use cruise control.
