Fargo (CSi)   On Friday, March 18th, 2016 a NDHP Trooper was responding to an emergency call for assistance from the West Fargo PD of “shots fired” at the Rodeway Inn in West Fargo.  The trooper was traveling westbound on Main Avenue in Fargo to the emergency call.  At the junction of 45th St., the NDHP patrol car was struck on the passenger side by a southbound motorist on 45th St.  The collision caused the NDHP patrol car to spin and come to rest in the intersection.  The other vehicle also came to rest in the intersection.

The NDHP patrol car was a 2013 Ford Police Interceptor.  The other vehicle involved was a 2007 Saturn Ion.  Damage was extensive to both vehicles.  Side curtain airbags deployed on the patrol car.  Front air bags deployed on the Saturn.  All parties were seat belted and uninjured.  The NDHP patrol car was traveling with its emergency lights activated at the time of the collision.
