| Gallup, a leading research organization, has ranked North Dakota #1 in their annual Good Jobs (GGJ) employment rate rankings for the third consecutive year. The Gallup ranking factored Gallup’s GGJ metric tracks the percentage of the U.S. adult population aged 18 and older who are employed full time for an employer for at least 30 hours per week.
“North Dakota continues to be a place that has great opportunity for business and careers alike,” North Dakota Commerce Commissioner Al Anderson said. “Our technology, manufacturing and aviation industries are continuing to grow allowing us to be one of the top rated places in the nation to do business.” The results are based on Gallup Daily tracking interviews throughout 2015 with 355,270 U.S. adults. Gallup does not count adults who are self-employed, work fewer than 30 hours per week, who are unemployed or are out of the workforce as payroll-employed in the GGJ metric. In the report, Alaska ranked second, Nebraska ranked third and Minnesota ranked fourth. The full report is available at http://www.gallup.com/home.aspx. |
