ThuCarrieJamestown (CSi) 19 year old Carrie Thu, of Jamestown, was found not guilty of gross sexual imposition after a one-day jury trial Wednesday in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.

Thu was also scheduled to undergo a two-day trial starting Wednesday on a charge of endangerment of a child, a Class C felony. Court documents show that trial was canceled and has not been rescheduled.

Thu’s attorney, Scott Sandness, of Jamestown says his client was happy to have been found not guilty on the Class A felony charge.

Court documents show, that Thu had been accused of having sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl along with Demietrius Daniel on August 25, 2015.  The maximum penalty for a Class C felony is five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
