Rafael Cruz to speak in Valley City Tues Mar 29

Valley City  (CSi)   Rafel Cruz, the father of Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, will be in Valley City on Tuesday, March 29.

Cruz will talk about his faith and his life’s journey,  at 10 am Tuesday March 29 at Sabirs in Valley City.   MAP  The public is welcome to attend this event.

Rafael Cruz was born in Cuba, and as  a teenager in the 1950’s, he supported the overthrow of the oppressive Batista regime which landed him in prison, where he was tortured

In 1957 he immigrated to the United States with little more than $100 to his name and barely able to speak English, he studied math and chemical engineering at the University of Texas and earned a degree, worked in the energy industry before becoming a pastor.
