Marvin E. Pahl, 73, of Linton passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at CHI St. Alexus Health, Bismarck, ND.

Marvin, son of Henry and Pauline (Schrum) Pahl was born February 2, 1943 in Dickey County. He attended school at Monango and finished his education at Edgeley. Marvin joined the National Guard in 1960 and after being discharged, he worked for various trucking companies before he purchased his own truck and traveled throughout the U.S.

In 1994, Marvin changed careers and became the owner of the Starlite Bar and Grill in Linton until his health declined.

Marvin was married to Denise Pillart and later divorced. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing, and visiting with everyone – he knew no strangers.

Marvin is survived by his son, Billy (April), Rochester, MN; daughter, Melissa, Hopkins, MN; two grandchildren, Makayla and Vaughn Pahl, Rochester, MN; four sisters, Alvina (Dave) Martwick, McClusky, ND, Verna (Butch) Schaeffer, Glen Ullin, ND, Linda (Gary) Ludwig, Starbuck, MN, Pam( Rod) Lammer, LaMoure, ND; sister-in-law, Rosie Pahl, Worland, WY; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and his special group of friends in Linton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pauline Pahl; and brother, Robert.

 

Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Edgeley.

Interment: Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND.
